Phone-Lift is designed to create a screen-friendly environment. It has six pieces placed inside of the subway car, each of them supports a part of people's body to help people to maintain a good posture when using mobile phones. Because due to the overuse and inappropriate use of mobile phones, increasing prevalence of neck and shoulder pain has appeared in our societies. People need to be reminded to pay more attention to their body posture while using the mobile phone and raise their awareness to think about their relationships between mobile phones.
I was born and raised in Guangzhou, China. After finishing a bachelor’s degree in industrial design in China, I came to Pratt Institute for further study. As an industrial designer, my design philosophy is to create meaningful products by exploring the most harmonious relationship between objects and people, injecting some unexpected surprises into daily life. At the same time, I am open to the medium of display, and I am willing to try various materials and find the most suitable scene for them.
